Sub Recipient Programs
Child Care Council of Greater Houston. Inc. administrates the Housing and Community Development Department for both, Emergency Solutions Grant (Homeless Services Program) and the Community Development Block Grant Program (Child Care and Juvenile Delinquency
Prevention Programs). Services of all programs are provided on a nondiscriminatory basis to all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex age, national origin, familial status and disability.

Child Care Program

Hours of Operation: 7:15 am – 5:30 pm M - F
Services Provided: NAEYC Accredited Center, certified Texas Rising Star Program and United Way Bright Beginning Program. The center accepts infants from six weeks of age to 35 months old.The center provides full day, after school and Saturday child care, according to the Sanchez Charter School calendar and hours of operation. Healthy meals and snacks are provided, as well as field trips, parental trainings and referral services.

Services Provided: Full time child care services for children 18 months through 12 years. A whole child development curriculum for toddlers, Innovations program for pre-schoolers focusing on encouragement, facilitation and stimulation for children’s learning and growth. School aged children, kindergarten to grade 5 are provided educational enrichment activities and remedial learning activities. Healthy meals and snacks, health screenings, field trips, cultural celebrations, parent trainings, volunteer activities and referrals to other family support services are provided.

Emergency Solutions Grants Program (Homeless Services Programs)

Hours of Operation: Walk-ins are welcome at the Crisis Intervention Center, Monday, Tuesday, Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and Wednesday, Thursday 8:30am-8:30pm. The crisis hotline, accompaniment, and shelter services are provided 24-hours per day. Please call the hotline at 281-286-2525 for 24-hour a day assistance.
Services Provided: Emergency Shelter and essential supportive services, to homeless individuals and families fleeing domestic violence or sexual assault.

Agency: Catholic Charities of Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston

Services Provided: Provide the housing relocation and stabilization services and/or medium-term rental assistance as necessary to prevent an individual or family from moving into an emergency shelter

Services Provided: Opportunity for homeless young adults to address and overcome the causal factors that hinder their independence; to provide a pathway to self-sufficiency, and independent living through transitional housing, access to educational and vocational guidance and life skills to support and maintain permanent housing.

Services Provided: Engage with clients and connect them to both short and long-term stabilizing services such as housing, education, employment, income, and mainstream benefits, aimed at improving their present situation by guiding them in the direction of change.
